Veerindar Patwari, son of the noted poet Pandit Prem Nath Patwari ‘Masroor Kashmiri,’ is a celebrated writer of Urdu, Kashmiri, and English literature. A civil engineering graduate and retired Executive Engineer, he has been writing since 1965 and has published over 300 Urdu short stories in leading national and international magazines, along with numerous Kashmiri and English stories. His acclaimed collections include Farishtey Khamoosh Hain, Doosri Kiran, Aawaz Sargoshiyon Ki, Ufaq, Lalarukh, Naseh, and Whispers. His latest anthology, Meri Kashti Lota Do!, is forthcoming. Patwari has also written dramas, radio plays, telefilms, and scripts for cinema and television. His work has earned several prestigious honours, including awards from the Bihar Urdu Academy, Delhi Urdu Academy, Jammu & Kashmir Urdu Academy, and the Harmony Award (2022).
